What We Do
Established in 2012, the JBM Solar team has a proven track record, securing consent for over 1GW of clean, green solar energy schemes in the UK and Ireland. We are focused on helping to deliver the UK’s target of a net zero electricity grid by 2035.
We are driven by our collective ambition to help meet the environmental challenges posed by the climate crisis. We firmly believe that our response to the climate crisis must involve solar energy, the cheapest form of energy generation in the UK, at its forefront. We work extensively with local communities throughout the planning and pre-planning process, to win support, and ensure we take residents’ views into account.

Our team
JBM has extensive in-house expertise, incorporating decades’ worth of planning, grid & design, and project management from a myriad of backgrounds. We have successfully achieved planning consent for over 1GW worth of solar around the UK and Ireland, with a >98% success rate. This is in part due to the special focus we place on community engagement and ensuring our sites have a lasting positive impact on the surrounding biodiversity and wildlife, and the community at large.
